Some ACSHIC Plan members who take certain brand or specialty medications may be eligible to have their copays reduced through various manufacturer-sponsored payor assistance programs, often simply referred to as “coupons.”
Recently, certain manufacturers of six prescription drugs have started requiring additional enrollment information from members to maintain eligibility for these coupons:
Dupixent • Taltz • Rinvoq • Skyrizi • Jardiance • Mounjaro
If you are taking one of these drugs, you can expect to receive a letter from ACSHIC and Pinnacle Rx, the Plan coupon administrator, with instructions and a request for you to provide additional information that will enable your copay to continue to be reduced.
Members who take these medications and do not provide the necessary information may be responsible for the full amount of their copay, which can be up to $200 per fill for certain specialty medications.
Many brand and specialty drugs are significantly expensive, some costing thousands or tens of thousands of dollars per prescription, and your participation in the coupon program helps reduce the cost for you and the Plan. If you receive such a letter, please be certain to open it and respond to the request.
Representatives from Pinnacle Rx will be available to assist you if you have questions or need assistance.
